A battery set from my grandparents, one of my favorite dials.

Nice sunburst motif on that dial.

I like it when old radios tune up to 1700. (Police band) It gets all of the modern band.

Thanks to all that IDed this Victor escutcheon as Repwood.

The red dot mystery was solved on page 5, when Wiscojim pointed out ...
another paint spatter on the left margin.
Well spotted, old chap.

Tops for me is that Silvertone by Divirted. I would buy the radio just for that feature.

One of mine from an unknown model but possibly Allied Knight:

Octagonal wooden escutcheon! Interesting. Thanks for posting that one.

Not wooden Rodney but metal and sprayed by me after cleaning. Way I did it, a couple of decades ago, was to spray it with a Mohawk (what else) Tone Toner and before it was really dry spray it with satin clear. This causes the Tone Toner to run a little and gives a graded affect.

Keeping this alive is my Lyric C6, similar to the Crosley Oracle that Rodney posted a couple years back:

This is the dial from my Simplex A72F. It is a NOS dial that I got from Gary at Playthings Past several years before I got the radio to put it in. I really like the big airplane pointer it has.

A Detrola made Truetone D-696 console I used to have. Loved that pushbutton tuning.

Thanks John, I should have done the same

Interestingly enough, every photo on RM.ORG is the exact same radio. Some are from AuroraOldRadios, before I bought it from him.

Here are the escutcheons (yes, there are two) and knobs of the Patterson 74AW.
