I ran across this product and I really find it does what it is supposed to do.
It is made by JB weld and is called Kwik wood.
It is easy to use and works like charm.
You just cut off a piece and knead it until it is mixed, then fill the crack or space.
let it dry and then sand
It is very fine so it will not show through and leave any lines where the filler meets the wood.
I have used it on the top curved edge of a cabinet where I am going to apply toner, and after the toner is put on I can't see where the filler is.
All I can say is try it.
