Here is the story,
I sold this radio months ago and it was lost. Now this guy is selling it on eBay.
Yes this is my exact radio. I restored it and know every inch of it.
Could I be wrong? NO... They are also my pictures and my personal Coffee mug in the photo.

So, What should I do?

Given the seller's eBay feedback, I think there are a couple of things I would vette:

. Is the current eBay seller the one who bought the radio from you?

. Was there a file claimed and settled with the carrier that "lost" it? IF so, what was the disposition of the item?

. Contact the seller via eBay and ask them where they "got" the radio.

Good luck,

Terry

File a seller complaint WITH EBAY and let them pursue it.

If valid, I think they would be quite upset.

wow, that IS the same pictures. Here is where you sold it.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Antique-100-re ... 7675.l2557

Is that where you shipped it to, Cass City, MI ?
I'd call the local police too, attack him from every angle.

No, the buyer never got it.
It was so long ago I don't remember the outcome but I was severely angry so I know I lost on the deal.
I shipped to the eBay shipping center in KY and it was supposed to go to Europe.

Seller said I could buy it back, LOL
He said he bought it from a big company in a lot.

Copy the auction page, description page, and all photos individually. This is just in case the seller decides to change the wording or replace the photos when he feels the heat.

Obviously that is a straight bold faced lie. If it had been true he could not have magically found your photos of the very same radio from your sold posting on Ebay.

This is just a version of the scam that a guy in Nigeria tried to use via Craigslist to rent me my ex-neighbor's foreclosed home. He was using pictures that the ex-neighbor originally used when he tried to sell the home before he lost it. It was pretty funny to be talking on the phone to a guy who was pretending to be my Irish descended ex-neighbor who had suddenly developed a distinct Nigerian accent. Who knew Caller ID would actually tell me that the call was from Nigeria :-)

I made screenshots of the auction with all the pics, if you need I'll have it.
It's in word doc.

I'm not so sure, Pitney Bowes does auction off large lots of items that don't make it out of their GSP distribution center. Looking at the seller's other listings, they all have different backgrounds in the photos.

My guess is, PB lost this, eBay paid off the OP's buyer then, once it was found it got sold in one of PB's auctions. The current seller bought it and used the ebay item # on the packing slip or label to steal the content from the OP's listing. I'd bet that's what they do with all their items.

It's a good gimmick. They know that they're buying items that are proven to have sold, to buyers willing to pay PB's extortionate international shipping charges, so there should be a good margin. Stealing the listing content is the icing on the cake as it saves them a fortune in time that would otherwise be spent researching, photographing, writing a description, etc.

eBay will do nothing if the OP complains. For obvious reasons.

Dunno,
It is mail fraud at a minimum since it was "lost/stolen"

Using your exact pictures, almost everyone, is the give away that something is going on with this seller, how did he get your pics?
Call the police, but since this is an interstate crime, it is actually a federal case.
I'd bet this guy isn't in Cass City, or even the USA

And a copy/paste of the description. You should be flattered, NOT!
Other than report the copy/paste of pictures and description, there's probably nothing you can do.

For those who may not know you can right click on the mouse and select "Save Image As" to save any image you see on the Internet.

Does the seller show any pics of the actual radio he's selling? Or does he only show pics that you took?

I mean, maybe he just stole your pictures. He might not even have the same model radio, given how bad people are at IDing radios. Just thinking out loud...

First thing might be to ask eBay to take your photos off his sale. Then he'd have to take his own photos, and we could see what he has.

It is the right radio.
It has the exact smear on it and in the description it states that. He even says the one knob is a repro.
If his was different then he would most likely not say that.
Unless he is just..... Dumb? or doesnt care?
It would really be "dumb" to sell a different radio with the wrong description...

That seller has 15,000 feedbacks in ONE YEAR. They have to be buying all the stuff that is confiscated at the Kentucky Ebay Shipping center. And reselling it I am sure at a profit. They have 9200 items up for sale at the present time. Probably ever one of them are pieces they bought from the Ebay shipping center.

Very interesting...
Why in the world would they confiscate it and not just return it to the seller?
I have shipped many radios overseas with no issues.
That seems horribly dumb as they would lose money right?
I believe you are right though...

At a glance, he seems to have a few negatives stating "Not as described" and "Fake Photos"

so maybe he used your pictures?
