EBay already employs an entire department of hundreds of people in the USA alone, just trying to keep the truly bad stuff off their site (body parts, CITES-II animal trophies, women's bloody underwear, illegal drugs...) They pull thousands of auctions every day for prohibited items. I think stuff like this radio is just more than eBay can take on, short of employing half the population.

Craigslist used to try to flag listings like this algorithmically. But I think they got so many complaints about "my ad is legitimate and your filters are ghosting it," that they just finally gave up. Lists of keywords haven't been filtered on craigslist for several years now.

They don't allow it. Report it if it bothers you.

If I wanted to sell one of my ARC-5 receivers
The title would look like this:
ARC-5, radio ,receiver, BC-xxx, SCRxxx WWII Broadcast band, etc etc ,there is no telling what search term people use.

One time a listing gave: reciever Zeeneth
That is when I come in and snag it. Then I tell them they spelled 'receiver' wrong ""I before E except after C"
