I like the large bulbous look of this one like the Zenith 12-S-267. A real centerpiece of a home in the day.

That's a looker!

What do you call that style of shoulder? It's like the channel back chairs of the era, but with the "channels" wrapped around the shoulders.

I have been passing on consoles due to ZERO ROOM but I may have to make an exception. Looks like I may take a drive to Maine? :)

Hey Diverted,(Ted) I have the sister to her the 1068. I hope the dial that sits behind the dial cover
is in excellent shape,keep the fingers crossed its the photochromatic dial. Good luck! :)

I'm pretty sure its a Photochromatic dial. They still used it on the high-end 38 models like this one.

The 968 though, has a plastic dial…

Yes, the dial lens is plastic. The dial itself should be glass.
Reproduction plastic lenses are available from Mark Palmquist.
