These were made by Bob Ryan, who lives in a small retirement apt. in
Hemet, CA. Most of the smaller forms are pill bottles, mounted on salvaged
4-pin tube bases. As a final step Bob lacquer dips the coils. Bob's interests
mostly revolve around buidling simple one or two tube regens. I'd
figured some of you might enjoy seeing his workmanship.

Ive used those pill bottles for years as they have excellent Q at RF into low VHF. Great for GDO's, receivers and other apps that dont heat the wire. Mine dont look that pretty but the twist lock caps are excellent for attaching a pull ring such as needed in a FB-7 receiver.

Bob is a very kind and modest person. Small battery sets are his passion.
I should post some of his other projects when I have time in a few weeks.
I have a few of his two-tube regen RXs. Norm Leal also has some examples
of Bob's craftsmanship as well.
