I am finishing up on a linear amp that I have been working on for the last few weeks . I want to make or find some decals for the switches and knobs. I don't want to use a label maker. Does anyone know of some software that is free and easy to design these dials and other markings for this project? What processes are needed to make the decals? Ink jet printer. Thanks, Carl.

Hello Cwebs,

Paint.net https://www.getpaint.net/ is free and easy to learn. And they have a forum with tutorials for noobs. A search on Google Images for “dial template” or similar will give you examples like:

that you can use Paint.net to modify to your needs.

Your local printshop should have “waterslide decal paper.” Or if you have your own printer then Staples, Walmart, Amazon or Ebay have waterslide.

Regards, Dave.
