I recently acquired one of these and the chassis is very clean.

I didnt even know that Collins did anything besides ham gear.

What seems to make this unique is that it uses TRF for AM but normal IF circuitry for FM.

These were $230 back when new.

Are these unusual in any way and do they have any collectibility?

Anyone want to venture as to a current value?

I did find out that it was Collins Audio Producrs of Westfield NJ.

But sill not a lot of info about it.

Much different than the Cedar Rapids, IA Collins, then. Interesting piece nonetheless.

Sams index says it is covered in folder 72-6, published in 1949. I should have it, will check tomorrow.

I have the Sam's and was told this works. Just dont have an amp right now.
