Starts ok and plays record ok but at the end of the record (12inch) tone arm returns to a point about half way back and plays last part of record again.
When rejecting manually, arm comes back to rest as it should.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Is that one of those that has a different track underneath for auto vs manual? And if so is there a wad of gunk in the automatic track that was formerly lube?

The other idea is - do you have the size set at 7 or 10 or do you have Repeat on?

Also did you try it with the umbrella spindle in place? Some of those will auto repeat usually a 7 inch record when the single play spindle is in place regardless of which size its set to.

The repeat lever or size selector lever could be gummed up as well so that it looks like it's set for one thing while it's actually set for another.

The lever itself could also be loose on the shaft.

vinylengine.com has the service manual for that turn table:
