Picked this up at a flea market today. I don't really know what I have here. What is the piece that looks like a hat for? Was this originally a coaxial speaker? As can be seen, there is a choke and a 2 section capacitor and a potentiometer included, so a crossover with a brilliance control. What confuses me is that there are 3 wires leading in. Any info about the manufacturer or how to hookup this driver would be appreciated.

Mike

After studying things closely, it seems apparent that it was a coaxial speaker, with the "hat" being the magnet for the woofer, missing the cone frame. My plan is to use it as the second speaker in my Aristocrat cabinet.
