I have a Denon AVR-2803 AV Receiver that has no output with speakers connected.
If I connect headphones I have left/right output. Do I have something not set right or
are the output transistor/s gone???

Most likely your output transistors are good. You can download the service manual for your receiver for free from Hi Fi Engine. All you need do is register and it won't cost you a dime.

The owners manual is also available on Hifiengine. No audio from speakers can be caused from the mute level on and set too high, headphones inserted or the master volume level set low.
If there is a problem in the set it could be poor connections on one or more of the circuit boards, especially where they connect to each other.

Thanks for the advice
I opened the cabinet, took the boards out that I could, cleaned the connections and reinstalled.
It works great !!!!
