No more legends music on AM 770 in DFW area starting June 5th :( . Going to all talk radio. Supposedly will still have legends music online. I'd rather listen to it on my tube radios!

For the life of me I can't understand why so many stations are going over to talk! There's already WAY TOO MANY talk stations and
precious few music and oldies stations.

Several years ago we lost Cleveland's 1940s and 50s music station WRMR to a conversion for talk....at least we have the
internet to stream...

For you east and midwestern DXers, 740 AM Zoomer radio, Toronto is great--Sunday nights is big bands---I stream them and
make CDs to play at home.

We could wonder if the people running the radio stations are good business people. It seems likely that they do know that talk generates more net revenue than the other formats. One or two or even a few dozen might be wrong, but station owners all over the USA seem to have concluded that talk is the way to go.

Southern California has music stations in a variety of languages, especially Korean, Vietnamese, Spanish, and I think some Middle-Eastern languages. In the evening, we can also receive AM660 in Window Rock which broadcasts a mix of Navajo, Country and Rock.

And thats my point also. In this day and time, with all they can do with artificial/synthetic material, and make it look like anything, why are people still doing this sort of stuff?

You can.
Simply buy or build an AM transmitter, locate the on-line site, and feed the computer's output from it to the transmitter.

I bought an SSTran 3000 last fall from another ARF member. Works fine!

I'm so glad I streamed and recorded KAAM back in 2007. I have a stack of CD's from that station. I love the music and so did my wife. Too bad they went to all talk. Good music is getting tough to find. I guess they made a move they felt they had to make.

And now it is gone entirely. No more KAAM Legends music on line either. Read their Facebook post on April 27th for why - https://www.facebook.com/legendskaam/.
