Hi Everybody,
unfortunately a recent eBay buy didn't survive shipping and to ship it back isn't worth the trouble or money it would cost.
The seller just shipped it with the chassis lose in the cabinet, the outer packing and box were ok, but the lose chassis just jounced around inside the cabinet and smashed the glass.
This is one of the mirror dial sets and the graphics are printed on the curved glass, Radio Daze doesn't offer a reproduction.
Does anyone make repro dials for these?
If anyone has one lose from a radio, that they would like to sell let me know.
I'll pay any reasonable price for one.
Thanks :)

Is it the same as the mirror glass dial on a Crosley fiver? I have one of those.

Sorry. I just checked mine. It is in great shape and I'm sure it's the same size, 4 1/4 inches diameter, but mine plainly say "Crosley Fiver" right in the middle of the dial.

Hi Larry!

A Super 8 is the same dial scale and size. You might find one of those. BTW, MAKE sure that you get ALL your money back from "brainless", the guy that shipped the radio. Shipping and the radio price. The radio is worthless without a dial. He might as well pay for the replacement.

Just some clarification here, there is only ONE dial glass that will be correct, the one that says "Super 6". You cannot use a Super 8 dial as it clearly states...wait for it...."Super 8".

OK, just to clarify: The Super 8 and Super 6 use the same scale and glass size. Obviously, they don't both say the same thing. I have been looking for a Dynatrol 6 glass for a LONG time. It also uses the same scale. A dial glass that is THERE and at least reads the same, is better than NO glass at all.

Thanks for the replies,
yes it does say Super 6 on the dial and I will wait for one to show up.
I did not pay that much for it, not really worth the time and trouble to try and send it back.
If I find one soon I will send an email to the seller and let him know how much i had to pay for a replacement
dial glass and see what he does.
