I'm looking for two nice, original, brown bullet/acorn knobs for a Philco PT-25 Bakelite radio.

Thanks for looking.

Dave

Hey Dave, I have a pair of them... They are a 9 out of 10... They have been rattling around in my knob bucket for awhile so they have a few scuffs but they should clean up nice... They are for a splined, split shaft... If your dont find anything else let me know... I would do $20 shipped for the pair...

Thanks for the offer. You brought up something though that I forgot to mention in my original post. The PT-25 has D shafts. You're sure yours are splined?

Remember that Philco shafts are SLIGHTLY flatted up to 1941. So a regular half round (AKA "D" shaft) knob will NOT fit a Philco (or Silvertone) radio. The PT-25 is listed in my Philco book as a 1940 model. Soooo..... those "pinched" type bullet knobs will likely need to be either set screw type or made to fit the Philco type shaft.

Check your shaft type and verify this.

i have not sent these out so maybe check that they are 1/2 shafts and not 3/4.

I took a look at the shafts and they might very well be 3/4. Here are a couple of pictures of them (it was more difficult that anticipated trying to take these):

What do you think?

Btw, it doesn't look like there was ever set screw knobs on these.

OK you have the half round shafts there, must be this radio was made for the 1942 model year. So the bullet knobs shown by Old Restorer will work great.
