I sat here for an hour trying to figure out what to say, but I always come up empty. Stan was a great guy and a valued member of this community. He and his sense of humor will be sorely missed around here.

You're all in my prayers. I'm very sorry to hear he had to suffer at the end.

There isn't much more that I can say. I always read Stan's posts and admired his
humor. He did have quite a wit, which I will miss.
May he rest in peace

Hi this is Stan's youngest daughter, Dee Dee. I spent a lot of time with him in his garage proof reading many of his posts. He would always ask me, do you think they will get it?? Obviously, you guys did get his sense of humor and it makes me happy to know he had so many friends here. I wasn't ready to let him go but he was in such extreme pain I knew it was best for him. Thank you all for the kind words and memories, I am glad he made such an impact with his wit and humor. Everyone who knew him loved him, it was hard not too!!
Once again, thank you all.
Dee Dee

Reading these posts brings tears to my eyes. Even though I never met Stan in person, just reading his messages gave me a clue as to what kind of a person he was. I enjoyed his sarcastic sense of humor and his sense and sensibility. Stan's attitude about life showed what kind of a person he was - when he was given lemons, he made lemonade. He made many of us laugh with his quick wit, but also helped so many more with his knowledge. I'm pleased that his family has had the opportunity to see how valued he was to the community. We can give our condolences and prayers, but rest assured, he will be forever kept in our hearts.
Godspeed Stan, now you can watch over us, and thank you for your service.

Sincere condolences goes out to the family at this time.
Steve

So sorry to hear about Stan leaving this life, but all of us will join him one day. He always kept me laughing with his posts. I got a chuckle every time I saw his picture with that Mickey Mouse hat on. May he RIP.

I too am saddened to hear of Stan's passing. I never actually knew him personally, but I too always enjoyed his sense of humor here.
Condolences to his family and friends.

It is wonderful that you also posted and told us more about Stan! You are fortunate to have such a good guy father.
