Amazing the prices people are paying, no bargains. Its amazing 7 days in Florida. Lots of reserve items, even when the reserve is lifted the bidding does not go any higher.

I've got my own Thunderbird project car; not planning to sell it, nor buy another. As for auctions, Doug Foeller is a friend of mine, and he has run the Foeller Auto Auctions for many years. He recently sold it and it became Premier Auto Auctions, although he's still affiliated, and he buys a lot of cars and sells them there. A lot of these cars show up at Thunder Road Classics, as they are being gone over and fixed up for resale. So I get to see a lot of these auction cars firsthand, in person. They are neat to see. Most recently there was a really clean 1931 Chevy, before that was a 1947 Armstrong Hurricane (I'm told the only one in North America). Really interesting to see!

Too depressing. Being a car nut on a beer budget means I look
locally and for classic cars that need some work. Much like old radios!
The only time I ever bought a lottery ticket is after watching a Mecum auction.
Always wondered if the people that pay big bucks for these cars
really appreciate them or if they are just trophies.
Steve

Yeah I look at the antique tractor auctions too, but the only thing they are good for is looking. The prices are way too high!
