i can go days and weeks without a single one and then i will have a day or three with them very often. they have a mind of their own. it is not diet, caffeine, sugar, carbs, fats, on the treadmill, in the easy chair....nada, nothing.

the top notch UPMC cardiologists say they won't kill me or hinder my daily living. although i beg to differ sometimes, they have not killed me in 11 years.

Steve,
I also had PVCs for years, medications did not help. It got so bad I had PVCs every other heart beat. I had a ablation done about 4 years ago and no more PVCs!

some days i think i need to look into the ablasion. then, the next day, they are gone for weeks.

they have a mind of their own and come and go with NO physiological or psychological reasoning.

for me, they are so annoying.

steve.

I am really glad the ablation worked for you. I was considering one a year ago for my A-fib, but I have since run into several people who have had the ablation and it made their condition worse.

Tim, whatever the problem turns out to be, I wish you the best of luck and hope the Doc's can make you well again. Hang in there Tim.

yes, please do, and do not accept any "you're fine" when you know that you are not.

Some good news; so far, all of the tests have come back negative. The doctor now suspects that the problem is related to my sleep apnea. Unfortunately, getting in to see a pulmonary/sleep specialist is going to take several more weeks. Meanwhile, I am going to try and lose about 10 or 20 pounds while I have some time off.

That will come in handy, whatever comes your way.

Been there...

The sleep specialist would provide you with either a take-home machine or schedule you for an overnight sleep study.

A common treatment is CPAP machine, but it's not a cure. Usually, sleep apnea would get better with weight loss.

my best friend just had a sleep test done.

it was extremely difficult for him to "sleep" in the lab as it is for many to do so.

find out if there is a way to do a sleep analysis in your house in the norm of things, if that is possible.

I had the sleep test done about eight years ago, and was rated severe; I have been using a Bi-Pap machine ever since. My appointment with the sleep center is coming up in a few weeks, so I will see what they want to do.

Steve,

A friend of mine had the in home test and it worked great. Now she has a machine. She is in her late 60’s and in great physical shape. Goes to show anyone can get it at any stage of life.
