It was a great game!
We had a great time with good friends and good food,I feel bad for those that don't have a good group of friends to spend time with and enjoy these types of events. It's good to get out and yell at the TV with others around!

Til they found out they had to do all the guys' homework for em to get em out of high school and into college so they could have a chance at being drafted and make all that money - after which they couldn't care less if somebody had to spot em the D and the G to spell DOG.

Both my sisters and two of my cousins ended up in that boat and were sorry once they didn't get the draft and had to go out and be normal grunts for their then-upcoming 40-year working career.

Just like last year I turned it on in the 3Q w the Pats heavily trailing just after Falcons went to 28. Watched the 4Q bec it was getting ready to be tied up - and then like a soap opera - had to watch the OT to see what wd happen.

Same this yr. Turned it on in the 4Q watched awhile - figured the Eagles were toast - again - and turned it off until I heard neighbors screaming and hooting and hollering. By the time I turned it back on all I saw was confetti.

Oh well. I say its like kindergarden - you had your turn let somebody else in for awhile.

I thought that I was the only living, breathing person in the U.S. that didn't follow or care about Super Bowls....even my 104yr old Mom keeps track of pro sports. This discussion thread makes me feel better...

Unless the Packers are in it, I typically don't care. I spent last night at home (where I don't have TV) aligning my radio. Good stuff!

Eh eh, I was working on a radio during the game, I guess, since I didn't even know what time it was on.

BTW, ask your mom what she does/eats/etc. for her longevity, and post it, please.

I was watching while trying to figure why my transistor LF preamp behaved
strangely ... it required far to much base current. Yet it had the expected gain.

It turned out that the transistor was in backwards! It was still OK,
and putting it in right the bias worked as expected.

But most oddly ... the thing did its job just fine with the 2N3904 in backwards!

Oddity of the game: the lack of interceptions and near lack of sacks.

I won, I worked on a school project with my son and installed LED lighting.

I was raised in a house that was all sports all the time, especially football and golf. I'd rather watch anything else.

It is nice to see fans having a good time. I wish I could find something interesting about it, they seem to be having fun.

There were more than a few oddities - first SB where a player both threw and caught a touchdown pass, most combined total yards, most total passing yards, most points scored by a losing team, and a slew of kookier ones like most total SB losses by a single franchise, longest field goal by a rookie, and most playoff touchdowns for a QB/receiver duo.

And yeah - one punt, one really odd interception, and one dramatic sack & fumble.

Although I don't have favorite teams, the Eagles win was sweet for me on a personal note.

Winning quarterback Nick Foles was a year behind my daughter in high school. They didn't run in the same circles, but we watched many a game where he displayed his talent. On the same field as did Justin Tucker, current star kicker with Baltimore Ravens. Justin and my daughter shared several classes. Some years earlier, Saints quarterback Drew Brees also went to the same school. Sometimes I feel like Forrest Gump because of strings of unlikely connections.

Years ago, when I worked full-time, they came around with a Super Bowl pool.

I asked "Who's playing"?

They couldn't fathom I didn't have a clue, but I bought a random number just for fun.

My winnings were $112, they never asked me again.

:-}

I have to say I am HAPPY the Pats LOST! :D

Other than that, I don't care.

Also, thought Justin Timberlake did a good job. Not particularly my type of music, but it was a good show, and he was definitely working it. But... Haters gonna hate.

Also also... Packers - yeah!! :D :D

Also also also... my winnings were $138!
