They actually had a Yankee Tune-up one year and I helped Bob Merriam set it up and I displayed my Rhode Island Radio collection for the day. Same set up as the steam table only different voltages run down a long table instead of a steam pipe. Everyone setup their sets. Problem was, a bunch of people setup outside to sell stuff and Bob didn't really like it. I believe they also had them way way back.

I went to a couple of the "Yankee Tune Ups" back in the mid 70's and had always considered them to be a swap meet, with the tuning, an activity. I did attend one that had extended talks with a trip to a local hotel for a Armstrong slide show and a 25th anniversary for the NEWSM.

I miss a local radio swaps, carting stuff up to New Hampshire got old me for fast...

In the 70's the then unnamed Boston Radio collectors met at a variety of locations, a couple of times at the Plymouth airport. At least once in Dalton MA. I'm sure a couple of other spots, it has been so long I've forgotten.

I've done the steam meets, I have an old Briggs FI I would bring. Haven't gone since about '04, an old classmate, took up steam engineering and was contributing to the museum. I made the trip to see him, took a few pix.
