Motorola Chassis TS-14 6BQ6 horz out tube pin 8 resistor question , it is a 47 something , the third stripe looks like its red making it a 4.7k , but i read 62k , should this be a 47k or a 4.7k (4700) resistor on pin 8 ?

The resistor off of pin 8 is just plain 47 ohms.

sure thanks it would help to have a schematic , if that resistor on pin 8 is just 47 ohms the third band sure looked like it was red or orange , it was tough to read because the wax from the cap on top of it did its damage over the years and if it is only 47 ohms being 62k is way off ... normaly i don't do a set without a sams or schematic but since everything - almost everything is clearly marked i said why not.

You should have the schematic now.

That is the cathode resistor and it has to be 47 ohms. A high value would make the circuit inoperative.

I sent the tube layout and resistance/voltage chart to you.

Thanks my only problem right now is there is a 6800 or 6.8k resistor that reads like 9.6k and i'm uncertain of the wattage , i'd guess 2 or 3 watts , i don't have one but could put a couple together to get the value but want to get the right wattage to match or go over a little ... a 6V6 for audio , i wonder if it will sound good , some sets use a 6k6 but the 6V6 offer more fidelity.
