Hi all,
Yeah i know it is not an antique TV but i believe a 1981 Vintage 3 plumb icon broadcast camera may have some merit in the forum because without a video camera there would would be nothing to watch on our TV's.
Well I have breathed life back into this classic ENG/EFP camera through a a recap of the internal Power Supply card and backplane.
It needs a complete registration and alignment, every camera maker has a specific process, even every different model of camera does. I do not have any instructions and will NOT attempt an alignment/registration without them because i am more likely to make things MUCH worse!
This is an NTSC model.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
Matt

What varies more than the manual specifics of alignment, is what the controls actually do vs. what they're intended to do. IOW, interactions. Width or lin changing center. Gain changing offset. The manual won't necessarily tell you those, so to that extent you're pretty much OK with the 'standard procedure'.
No denigration, but you have done this before, right? And you have a waveform monitor, as distinct from a plain-old oscilloscope?
How bad does it look the way it is? What needs improvement? Do you have registration and grayscale charts and a calibrated light source with a known K value?

Steve,
Thanks. I know Chuck and he was the first one i asked, he does not have the service Info. I am going to send the camera to a friend who has all the proper tube camera alignment equipment. He made an Ikegami Hl-79 look almost factory new and corrected burnin on the tubes.
