Good day, the reason of my post is as follows. I am not a radio guy, but my brother in law who has passed away 2 years ago on June 21st 2010 was a radio guy! He was in the Canadian Military in the Signal corps. He add survived many UN missions, 2 tours in Bosnia and Afghanistan, to be hit by a car on is bicycle 2 minutes from is home, well I digress.
After Yves passed away I help my sister clean out the basement, I found a Graymark AM radio model 536 kit, but without the 88 pages instruction manual. As a tribute to Yves I would like to complete this project! Does any one know were I could find just the instruction manual, since I already have the kit?
Hope to hear news from someone out there.

A year ago I called them via phone and spoke to a sales agent who told me the schematics/manuals are $10/copy.

Denys If you are willing to take the chance that the 22-page manual from the Radio Shack version listed in an earlier post will help, I can send you a clean copy of that for $10 postpaid. PM me if you are interested.

There are some differences between the Radio Shack 28-222 kit and the Graymark 536 kit, but they appear to use the same circuit board for the radio. The Graymark board appears to have some soldering "practice boards" attached to theirs. I'd guess the radio assembly instructions from the Radio Shack kit will work for the Graymark kit. The Graymark 536 NB ( No Breadboard) is available for $20.95 plus shipping: http://www.gssteched.com/G-536NB.htmland http://www.graymarkint.com/catalogv2/graym16.htmTotal cost shipped to my house is $35.31 The reason you don't see a schematic available because the last page of the manual was cut out and pasted over an honest to goodness pine board. The circuit was built on top of that as part of the learning process, after which the individual components were soldered to the circuit board and the radio completed. I believe the last page contained the schematic. Found this out by corresponding with an eBay seller who had the completed 'breadboard', but missing the circuit board. ~ Mitch ~

Is this your radio? http://www.graymarkint.com/catalogv2/graym16.htmHere's their 800 number; http://www.graymarkint.com/index.htmOops, didn't see that you had already posted it. If you have a friend or relative here in the states, maybe they could call for you. I wouldn't use instrux or a schematic from any other set; even one difference could defeat the radio's operation.

The circuit boards that wiscojim posted look almost identical. Only a slight change. The only difference between the RS Science Fair radio and the Graymark 536 that I can gather is the voltage. The RS uses 6 volts (4 AA) and the Graymark uses a 9 V. battery. I suspect the only difference circuit wise is a change of resistor value and/or a different transistor 2N #. Anyway, it would be worthwhile taking wiscojim's offer for the RS documentation. IMHO Ken

Denys, I may still have a copy of the manual, I need to check at my partent's house ( built one in the early 80's when I took electronics in high school). The manual was full of theory of AM radio, conversion, amplification, oscillators, etc... In the ebay photo, the schematic in the box was to be glued over either balsa wood, or craft foam and the included spikes in the bag to the left were inserted in key locations to do a sort of bread board assembly of each subsystem until the radio was complete and working. The little squares of circuit board sticking out of the board to go into the radio were to be used for the IF's. They were needed to attach them on the breadboard assembly. When the radio was found to be working, you'd remove the parts and assemble them to the circuit board and complete the radio in its case. I still have the radio, so I think I may have the manual too. I went to their website and I'm shocked to see they even still sell the adjustable power supply, and binary clock I built before I graduated in '84! Thanks for posting it Mitch! One aside, I found the radio needed a stronger AVC signal to prevent overload with strong stations, so after assembly I substituted a 15K resistor for the stock 27K (these values are what I remember, not having seen the radio in atleast 15-20 years). It improved weak station reception as well so I Left it in. I'll check for the manual, and If I do have it, I'll scan it and let you know. Tony

Thanks Tony,
From your post I realised that I have the schematic on a piece of foam. I will try to follow the instructions you gave me, please let me know if you still have the manual. Like I mentioned in my first post I am not a radio guy, I know it probably sounds corny, but I need to complete this in memory of by brother in law that passed away 2 years ago!

That's not corny at all...
I have several radios given to me as a kid by people who have since passed on & they mean a lot more since they help keep memories alive...
