I'm replacing the candohm in my Zenith. This is the last part that needs to go. I refuse to extend the leads, especially the leads of components already in soldered in on one end. I'm not very good at it and only extend them as a last resort.

The first picture is of where I'd like to shift the candohm, the leads will make it/wires will stretch a bit to get there. The second picture is where the candohm originally was.

I have to move two wires just a little bit that go to the candohm, and overall the whole set up will be about 1/2 to an inch closer the 6F5G tube socket.

Am I going to introduce any hum or problems relocating it there??

The difference is somewhat slight, but if I'm going to solder everything back on, I don't want to have to relocate it again.

Out of respect for you, I'm going to bite my tongue

Honestly, I want to be just like you and have it finished. Is it going to make a difference if the new candohm and other stuff is that much closer to a tube socket....

You're a nice guy, radiopicker..

You'll be okay with the location shown. Stand the new resistors up to where they get good air flow. Tube socket won't be bothered.
