The little radio that survived!!
This story began on 20 Nov 1965 when this radio was given to my sister as a wedding gift by one of her favorite cousins. Now if not for the family history it may well have ended up in a land fill somewhere. It was used as their kitchen radio for about 20 years. As I young teen I repaired it replacing tubes and capacitors. Yes, early teens I build my first EICO 625 tube tester when I was 12 and still use it today. The radio case was also broken several times and eventually ended up painted black.

Finally it ended up in the back room in our old vacant farm house where it remained until about 2000. When I found it the roof had leaked and a dresser had fallen over on top of it. In fact it took several trips back to find all the parts that were left. The case was a challenge but it now sports a bright red/orange case as it did when new.
