Picked up a GE H-634 from ebay for a good price and have worked on the badly deteriorated cabinet over the past week. The top veneer was peeling off and was badly stained. Thankfully al the bezels were in great shape and the dial was perfect. I think it has turned out very nicely given its original condition. Now on to the chassis.

WOW!

That looks great Greg!

You are lucky the Tenite dial bezel is not a shrunken, twisted mess...

I am making plans to help you with the chassis for this weekend.

I will email the details soon.

Ha, trade your wood working expertise for my electronics. I have a GE, yep another one, J-100. Cabinet de-laminated, overall mess. Chassis is oxidized but not rusted. So it will be a good candidate for restoration.

Thanks Charles! Bring your basket case - I really enjoyed the cabinet refurbishing, it was very satisfying work so would be happy to try and tackle yours!
See you soon.
