Has anyone removed the selector switch on a Hickok 455A VOM? I need to get at the switch for lubrication purposes. I don't see how to remove it. No screws holding that assembly in from the inside. Tried to pull the selector knob off from the outside. No movement there. The unit functions fine but the selector switch is all gummed up. Thought I would ask before doing something I would regret later.

+1. I don't see how to get at the range switch either. I think the knob must pull off, and there are screws underneath holding the range switch assembly to the front panel (or else it is just relying on the switch bushing to hold it together), but I'm just guessing. I don't see how you could work on it to replace a faulty range resistor, etc, without pulling the range switch.

The knob pulls straight off and there is a slotted spanner nut underneath it securing the switch to the front panel.
