I picked this up today at an estate sale. It is a 6AF6G tube plugged into an adaptor. The instructions say remove the anode lead and socket from the CRT. Then by observing the eye tube and adjusting the brightness and contrast, it will indicate if filament voltage is good, if there is voltage at the first anode, if bias is correct, and if the video signal is good. Sounds like a pretty good device to do in-home trouble shooting back when that was the norm.

Decent device for a TV repairman to carry in the caddy for a quick "go-no go" check before lugging the heavy stuff into the home .....wish I'd had one back in the day :-D
