Looking for the electric induction disc motor governor for this set, along with the two small bearing balls that mount on both ends of the governor.

Or, if you know the diameter of the bearing balls, that will be a big help also.

The same motor was used on the Radiola 47, and probably other late 20's Victor models with electric phonograph motors.

Any leads will be appreciated.
Dan

Any chance the governor is the same as on the spring motors? If so they are easily available.

David:
This one's about 3 3/4" long. How long are the Spring motor governors?
Thanks. Dan

I checked the governor shaft on my VV-XI with common 2-spring motor. It's hard to gauge the length since it's not clear how much of the shaft projects into the bearing cups on each end. The distance between the two bearing cups is about 3 7/16", so an overall length of 3 3/4" might be about right.

Try these guys:

https://www.victrolarepairservice.com/

I don't know if they deal with the electric motors or not, but they will know everything about the governors on the spring motors.

Here is a photo of the governor on my VV-XI:

This is the governor shaft I need. About 3.68" if it still had the broken pin. No hole drilled thru the shaft. David, Does yours have a hole drilled thru it? Anyone have one of these?

I don't see the hole in the shaft in your picture, and I don't know if there is a hole in the VV-XI governor shaft or not. But it appears that the worm gears are very different.

Just call up the victrolarepairservice.com folks, they may be able to help you. They are very nice to deal with.

Hey David, thanks. Sent my broken governor to Ray at Victrola Repair service and he found the right shaft for it. Meanwhile, saw one on ebay that looked right but assembled backwards. Bought it also, reassembled it the right way, so now I have two! Dan
