Greetings,

Long time reader, first time poster. Should've signed up a long time ago, I guess. Tons of cool people here and great information!

Latest acquisition is a Crosley 02CP console. I haven't physically put my hands on it yet as it's temporarily stored at my aunt's place up the coast a bit. I have some decent photos of it, but the one that's bugging me is the phonograph. I've seen some pics of other radios and some advertising brochures and the phonograph does not look the same as mine. It does look period correct, tho, so I'm wondering if Crosley put whatever they had handy in the cabinet.

I'm including a photo of what I have. I'm thinking the center spindle might be broken, but without seeing in person, I can't tell.

Thanks for any help with identification!

Of course right after I posted this, I was able to ID the phonograph. It appears to be a Webster 256. I think the 256 was available after WW II, so some PO must've swapped it out. Not the end of the world. It's probably better than what was originally there. I definitely need to find a replacement spindle, tho.

Stay tuned!

Record changer found in Sams Photofact 88-13 ( ca. 1950 )

If you need the spindle, Gary at the voice of music may have
that one (W-C spindle # 11X133 is listed in Model 256 parts list)

Hotwax
