Anyone had success putting a magnetic shield around the phono motor to
reduce the hum when using a magnetic cartridge. It has to be the motor cause
there's no hum till i switch on the turntable . I made a clip on steel cage made of
screening that reduced the hum somewhat but I'm open for more suggestions that
work better .
Was thinking of getting some Mu Metal foil but wrapping the motor with
this stuff will cause the motor to overheat .

I wonder if swapping the line-neutral wires at the motor might help any?
