Got a early '50's Maggie 245P console in the shop today. Not sure who made it. The 4 speed turntable has the Number MX-850 stamped underneath..among other numbers. Uses a solenoid to engage the trip cycle which is not working...Here's a pic of the exact phono from another thread, and the numbers he has are same as mine underneath the plinth..http://www.antiqueradios.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=259840
The tuner/amp chassis is stamped CR-234BB. Right now I'm looking for the service info on the turntable to help get the cartridge off the arm. Can't figure how to detach the arm.(???)

I got the solenoid cycling system working, and the platter working decent...but still can't figure how to detach the arm to replace the cartridge.

The Magnavox MX850 (521850) seen here is three-speed.

Paul's email address is available via his profile.

Have you got a fourth speed of 16 ⅔ RPM?
Greg.

Edit: Lol... that's funny. I see you linked to these photos...
touch base with Paul as I've never seen that service sheet anywhere before.

My bad Greg...no 4th speed on mine... I did pm Paul...waiting for response. Just looking (hoping) for a way raise the arm enough to access the cartridge area, short of disassembling the arm mechanics.
