Replacing the wax caps and out of tolerance resistors , I noticed a diode was placed between pins 8 and 1 of the 35Z5GT tube.
Tested the tube and it was bad. (reason why diode was used ?) Also found R47 burnt in set. Found R20 is a 1.5k not a 2700 Ohm (would this be because of the diode?)
Also noticed that C38 should be .02uf and is .022uf
C21 should be .03uf and is .033uf
C15 should be .01uf ans is .02uf.

I want to restore set to original electrical specs. Just remove the diode ? And replace components to original.

Thanks

35Z5 filament must be good. probably why they left it in there. .03 and .033 makes no big difference. same with others like that. .01 and .02 no biggie. follow the schematic like you say and bring it back
