Hey there,
New here. Thought I'd share something I traded hard for recently. I work in film sound so naturally I collect old mics and sound equipment (besides radios, of course). This REEVESOUND unit is from about 1946. It uses five Altec A-420 preamps and one A-127A output amp. It can send line level audio to an optical recorder on stage or down the line to the amplifier rooms on the lot (in the old days). It has communications and also a speaker out. This unit is called a 'tea cart' with castors on the bottom to wheel between stages.
It works great and I've even used my WE 53A condenser mic through it a few times (with separate powering). Just wanted to share. And if anyone comes across things like this, let me know.
