I think most do now. First Energy does: https://www.smart-mart.com/smartmart/en/I think we got some incentive thingy a couple years ago and they sent us a box with a couple CFL bulbs, a water saving shower head and a faucet aerator and a couple pieces of swag.

They've been given the go ahead to build 2. As the story is inextricable from politics, you will have to look it up.

All we get from Pacific Graft and Extortion is higher rates. Expecting this months bill to approach $500. Two years ago our highest bill (30 years in the same house) was $235. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr....... Steve

It is brutal out here. 20-40 cents a KWH. The base lines are impossible to stay within. https://www.pge.com/en_US/residential/r ... -plan.pageMy family of four paid $150 last month and never used the heater. That is for gas and electric. I am on the central coast of California. If I had to heat the place, like in snow country, I bet the bill would be over $1000 a month. The rates are much higher than the rest of the country.

"That is brutal. If you run the A/C in the summer, that must get expensive too."
I do not have AC here. When I lived in Fresno I could not afford to run it.
