Hi everyone,
My Zenith R520/URR is missing the metal id tag that should be on the front. I have a piece of aluminum that would work great, but I don't know how to print the design pattern on the metal.

I've been looking at the same problem with a set I'm working on - I've been investigating silk screen printing one since that seems like how they were probably made back in the day. Mine is also etched though, so it has that added layer of complexity. I think the original one for mine was brass, etched, then nickel plated or something similar, then silk screened as a final step. I may just silkscreen it though since getting the etching right is likely to be quite difficult where the lettering is quite small.
The stamp might work, but it may also be a little bit imprecise for the finer parts...
Cheers
Steve

Okay thanks for the tip. I had never heard about silk screening before. It turns out there is someone in town who does silk screening so I might go down there and see if she'd do it.
