 Post subject: Panasonic SA-504 - an odd 4 channel radio/receiver

Technically it's an AM/FM radio since it has speakers mounted in each side of it's cabinet, but it's also a quad receiver with inputs and jacks for four loudspeakers. display is labeled 4 channel discrete and 4 channel matrix.

I posted in another forum, but no one had any insight into this oddity.......looks to be made in the 70s ? I'm looking for any details, year - orig. price - etc.
