Hi there,

I bought a model VV-90 Victrola (1921) tonight from a local ad posting. The only big drawback seems that was wrongly fitted with a Columbia reproducer some time ago.

Does anybody out there know what the proper reproducer should be on this model? I've scoured the internet and found nada.
Maybe a Victor Exhibition?

When I get the camera out I will post some images here.
Not quite sure about the tone arm either.

Thanks in advance,

No, a Victrola No. 2

The No. 2 replaced the Exhibition on all of the cabinet machines by late 1918. the "Arabic numeral" machines, such as the VV-80, 90, 100, 110, 120, and 130 were introduced in late 1921., Your machine was definitely originally fitted with a No. 2 reproducer. PM me if you require one. I have a number of good rebuilt No, 2;s and Exhibitions.

Thanks very much for the information Vitanola.

Strange that it's such a common Victrola but I couldn't finsd any detailed pictures on the net.

The manual for the Victrola 90 is at Nipperhead:

Thank you so much Ken. :D

I've visited that site before but I didn't remember this book was there. I'm going to print off and staple bind a small book of it to put with the Victrola.

Thanks again.
