I was at a car swap meet this weekend and found a small Sharp transistor that I could not resists so it followed me home.

Nice looking, with BC and the European Long Wave, notice the button that says LW,

Back of the radio says it is a BXL-372

I gather that the quality stamp is referring to week 27 in 1972.

The inside of the radio, no battery leakage.

There was three very old Swedish Tudor battery in the radio, notice the cat used as the logo for the Tudor company.
One of the batteries had a slight beginning of leakage, that is now wiped off and the batteries are now next to the radio on the display.

I payed $7 (well, SEK 50) for it so it made the 125 mile trip worth it.

Yeah, beautiful condition too! Interesting how they separated one battery off from the other two to allow the speaker placement.

I just recently received a very nice condition Hallicrafters CR-44 transistor portable that I got on eBay, probably made around the same time. You sure can recognize those distinctive Japanese plastics from those days!

Good job on saving those batteries, too...those are cool!
