This is the last big wood Philco table top model. I replaced the electrolytic and foil & paper capacitors and a resistor and it is playing as I type this. The finish is shot, and I need one of the off-tone knobs (the functions kabels are made into the knobs). I need to align it, but that should be straight forward.

I recently refinished one, and the leather trim was a bit of work. Here is what I did, if it helps.

I got the grain filling done and started spraying the gold tone lacquer today. I replaced the leather with a piece of lacewood veneer.

Thank you! Some may object to the lacewood, but I like wood, and the leather tore during removal. I still need the on-off & tone knob, or just five matching long shaft knobs.

She is finished, except for the missing knob. I put the radio-phono knob in the on-off / tone position.

You found something to put it beside that makes it look not absolutely gigantic. Good work! ;)

Nice job on the refinish, too.
