These 4 radios are for sale as a group for $180. CDN. I don't think I can go wrong here for that price. None work, 1 hums. Anyone know what the one in the last pic is? never seen one like that. The 2 small ones are Westinghouse and I recognise the Saba. All just listed as "Old Radios"

I believe that last pic is a Canadian Philips P-153.

I wonder if the red Westinghouse was painted? The color looks different, could be his camera.
Have fun with the Saba, could be the best of the bunch altho the Philips is right up there too.

So it is a Phillips. I saw the crest, but couldn't make it out. Still waiting to hear back, hope no one beat me to them.

Sure doesn't look like a Philips logo to me!

I have to admit I thought the 3rd dial to the right said SWAMSWSW something, then I realized it was SW AM SW SW LOL.

Here's what the scar under that phony badge will look like. :D
Notice there are no labels on my example pic, must have been easy to rub off.
But the pic confirms that the knobs are correct, congrats.
Unless there's a Saba hunter lurking nearby, he won't sell 4 radios that quick.
In fact, I'd hold back a few 20's, you never know.

The car in your Avatar looks a lot like the 53 Olds Super 88 I had many moons ago. What is it?

Update: Made a deal for the radios. Yay. He also has another "red" one for sale as he's downsizing his collection. Seems to collect them for shelf art as none seem to work.

Congrats, looks like his downsizing will match your upsizing.

The car is a 1950 Chev business coupe, same age as me and long gone, but I'm still here, still running. :D

The guy dropped off all the radios+1. Very happy with the haul so far. The larger red one is a GE, not Westinghouse and the Phillips is actually branded as a Rogers Majestic R535 . Tuner cord is busted on that one  The little White Westinghouse looks like it could have been White or painted, not sure and that will need more research. The jury is still out on the bonus Red Motorola. Could have been painted, or it could be original. The surface is really old. Here's some pics

The Motorola is original, pretty sure the suffix "R" on the model number indicates red. Those came in several other colors, I had a green one at one time.

Right, thanks for the updates and pics.
That is an excellent dial string installation guide. It differs from most as it is calls for the cap fully open.
I saved pics of your Rogers Philips in my Rogers folder.
Those dial bulbs burn very hot so don't push them in too close to the dial, they will scorch the plastic.
You can try LED night light bulbs, but my last experience with those was unsatisfactory, have forgotten why.
It should be a decent receiver, a typical AA6, nothing special there, but with good speakers hopefully.

The GE red color I questioned is genuine as we can see from the back. It may have the dial bulb that moves behind the dial with the pointer, about the only thing that sets it apart. Adds colour to your AA5 display.

John,
Glad to provide pics. Your pics resource has been helpful numerous times in the short time I've been here. If you want any specific pics, just holler.
I'm pretty certain at this point that all of them are the original color they came in, painted or not. The exception being the GE which is red plastic through and through and unpainted.

Thanks Egg for the schematics once again! I printed them out and they are laying on top of the Rogers/Phillips love child radio.

Dennis, True dat! they came in 5 or 6 colors according to Radiomuseum

The seller was nice enough to deliver them to my place and is apparently focussing on his wood radio collection and may continue to thin the herd. I asked him to email me first before he posts stuff for sale. His interest is in the esthetic rather than getting them working. A subset of this hobby I guess and I bet we all have the odd shelf queen. Mine are the ones I can't get going  His prices are realistic in my opinion. Not always the case around here.

I found another pic in my files of your Rogers Majestic version of that radio, but it was labeled as a model P308. Seems I took the number on the store label for a model number, oops.
I've changed the name so it now sits next to yours, and makes yours look better too. :D
The Motorola is lovely with the new paint.
Good luck with that Saba.
