I suppose it could have been for a child. It must have come from a rich part of the country in those days if you could afford to buy your child his/her own radio!!

I like how they did the back too with the chassis on a shelf and the speaker below like a full sized console. A nice little set. There's a couple on eBay, at least the last time I looked. They don't go cheap though!

Child's radio or not, I'd love to own one (but not at that price, haha). Notice the Zenith quality even in a radio that was aimed towards children
