"The cabinet retains its original finish....original knobs."

Maybe I'm being too harsh. The four original knobs are there.

The seller is a member here. He's gotten into some, uhh, lively discussions with some of us in the past...

For a current bid of only $10.49? Hell, I wouldn't care if it had an arm growing out of it at that price---SOLD!

The carefully itemized description of that radio is just glowing with praise. Funny how the seller (glock1958) fails to make any mention, though, about that fifth knob. Should that surprise anybody? No, not really, not at all.

It won't be too long before "posteragogo-8" starts bidding that price up for him

Maybe that knob unlocks the secrets of the universe, and only the winning bidder gets to find out?

If the price winds up being low the extra knob could easily be removed along with the shaft and if you're handy with woodworking, the hole patched. Honestly its a pretty nice looking set with what appears to be the original finish as seen by the wear in the pic of the top.

Or even if the price doesn't wind up being low

It hasn't stopped bidders from bumping it up to a respectable amount.

Cabinet solid "without any damage." Guess the hole right in front doesn't count. How can people be so brazen and unconcerned with honesty? It boggles my mind.

Current bid is at $163....considering the added hole in the front, not such a good deal anymore

I don't think that cabinet is entirely original. The ABC markings are still there on the front, but it looks like it was coated with some kind of clear coating at some point in places. (You can see glop runs on the back at the top.) Also the sides look much too light, as if the toner was stripped off. There are also areas in the crevices and where the various parts meet that show inconsistency in the finish (e.g. the top left corner of the right side panel).

48 bidders decided they liked the fifth hole. :)

That blows my mind. Due to the non-originality, I'd feel guilty if I bought it for $100.

Any bets on how long before it's relisted?
