Only $1,500 and they verified it is in "working condition" by turning it on and noting that it emitted a crackling buzzing sound. Jeez. Don't people look at completed (sold) auction prices?

when it is plugged in it lights up and warms up to a buzzing sound, crackling as well so it is in working condition.

I wonder if it goes, "snap, crackle, pop"?

"lights up" seems to be the new definition of a radio "working"...

The one in the original post was used as a comp in this listing that's local to me. The local one was more than $1000 when it was first posted. Guy's dreaming.

As usual, the dial pointer is upside down. Why it always seems to be on this model is a mystery. Mine was too. It's a pain to fix too!
It's truly a great Zenith model that performers excellent, but worth a fraction of his price.

"when it is plugged in it lights up and warms up to a buzzing sound, crackling as well so it is in working condition" silly man, everybody knows that's what a working radio does

It's *Rare* because it's the Rice Krispies Edition.

WOW~

The last 5-S-29 that I got I picked up a few years ago for $20 at my local flea market and it came with a complete set of original knobs!
