Great looking set! I had one of these back in the 1980s that had serial 66 and 1926 engraved on the front panel. All the other ones I've seen are like this one (without the serial number and date). I'd like to have this one, but I really don't need it.

Very impressive receiver. I have one just like that but in a little better condition. Great reception and great audio but it has one shortcoming, you can't adjust the tracking of the various RF tuning stages without removing the aluminum tuning cover (which is not easy), loosen each plate assembly and manually move the capacitor plates in order to match up with the other stages and you basically have to do that with all of the stages that follow the antenna tuner.

Leutz Pliodyne with added on trimmer caps to allow alignment of the 5 stages of tuning condensers. I wish Norden Hauck had included this feature on thier TRF receivers. It sure would have been nice. I'm in the process of adding on my own set of trimmer caps to my Norden Hauck Super 10.

Should start at $500 and let the market determine it's value.

One of these sold on eBay fifteen years ago for $2500. It was not in as good as shape as this one was. Times have sure changed!

I think the seller priced it well. List it for the minimum amount you would be happy with. If it doesn't sell then just keep it, or maybe list it some time later. Better than listing it low and let the market determine its value. The market changes. It might sell for double in two weeks! I've seen it happen. If he had listed it at $500 I would have been forced to buy it!
