Each week I get an antique newspaper that shows past and upcoming auctions of all types. The issue that I received today had some results of a recent Phonograph, Radio, Speaker, etc. auction. I though that you would probably find the results interesting so I scanned the published samples and placed them on one of my domains. You can see them at www.dongares.com/results.htm and I would be interested in your comments.

Yes, Thank you!
That is the auction discussed in this thread.

It saddens me that Johnny Johnson's collection was sold off. I often wondered if he still had it and if I could see it again, but it was at least 25 years ago when I saw it. Probably closer to 30 years.
Where does time go?

I got a great little Columbia type Q and a few horn speakers from that auction. Steve, you saw the horn speakers last week when you stopped by.

Some items went for a ton of money, but there were some good deals to be found as well. The Columbia Q only set me back $160 + $36 (fee)... yes the fee was high, but just account for that in your bids.

Agree on the bargains, several in that auction.

The Western Electric movie sound rack going for $76K is astounding. Is there a large collector community for that type of item?
