I had a similar vintage Bulova Companion radio in a brown leather case and could not get $15 for it at one of our radio meets in Phoenix.

It ended up in the "donation auction" and went for 2 bucks....

Of course, that's out here in AZ where the heat makes people in Phoenix a bit crazy....

Well if that's the case this seller must be living on the surface of the sun. :lol:

From the auction blurb;
Quote:
I have not seen a portable radio with tubes before.

So by that, the seller must think no one else has either, and therefore it must be quite rare.
I would guess the value at $25, maybe a bit more on a good day. But don't try telling the seller that, LOL!

Maroon was used by Bug Bunny in some cartoons instead of moron.

Well, maroon is a color and a castaway. But Bugs does indeed use it as a version of moron in the episode when he finds himself in a bull fighting ring. "What a maroon. What a nin-cow-poop!". Always loved Bugs but enjoyed it when he got a comeuppance too.

In a Bugs Bunny cartoon he once referred to Elmer Fudd as, "poor little maroon; so trusting, so naive..."
