The only reason I'm mentioning this one is to show the rarely seen "wood-grained" painted finish. I believe the early runs on this model in '48 had this and soon later (and all '49 models) just had a solid brown paint job. It's odd that this is a 1948 model with the 5 rear controls, yet it has the '49 thin white mask. It should have the full white one. I have a feeling the window or complete grille was replaced at some point.
None of this adds to it's value. Just an observation.

I so agree Bob. If that CRT is good, which they often are, you already doubled your money! On top of it the set is in decent shape. That's auctions for you. The seller should've put a reserve on it.
