I wonder what the experts of early radio have to say about this one. I would love to own a receiver from this early, but the price is steep!

Well you're really paying for a shot at that sweet electric vacuum.

No expert here, but this appears to be just a tuner and not a complete receiver.

Something doesn't smell quite right with that one. Looks to be a homebrew IMHO and maybe not from 1919.

Just a little too crisp.

Klaxon, sounding LOUDLY....

Early homemade, maybe one of, no genuine provenance except that it is 40yo... May very well be Phil Winegarten(ish) if it was attributed to him then some fair money. FWIW I would give a couple of "C's" and play with it...

Raffle ticket? Suckers bait...

Yea I saw it listed today and recalled previous discussions of it on here, so obviously there is no one sauntering forward with 6 big ones to buy it. Seems to me that anything in the listing is conjecture not fact or provenance. That is alot of money without any of those things. It woulda coulda shoulda maybe.

That raffle ticket looks rather fresh for being 100 years old. He didn't even try to age it.

Even at a $3105 discount, it's not going to sell. He's going to have to do better then that. Seriously, I don't think he's trying hard enough.

Quote from the Ebay post, "It's our belief that this could be one of their earliest sets, but that's just speculation."

That's a certainly true. Pure speculation hoping for the big payday.
