Sorry, normally I don't bother to comment on some of the absurd things I see on ebay, but this one is amazing:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/RADIO-DUCATI-BLUE-MIRROR-DESIGN-PROTOTYPE-ITALY-1942-Deco-Modern-art/253706188860?_trkparms=aid%3D1110002%26algo%3DSPLICE.SOI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20190711095549%26meid%3D3da9840bf4a84412974e115f479205d8%26pid%3D100047%26rk%3D12%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D253742902963%26itm%3D253706188860%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2047675&_trksid=p2047675.c100047.m2108

I guess that is a space saving feature to have the chassis crushed in like that....

It is a 'prototype' after all... Guess that technique never made it to production.

It's an interesting Art Deco design. I can certainly imagine it in a stylish Italian apartment of the era with giant tall ceilings.

What isn't shown is how the space above the set translates the
speaker radiation angle to the louvred grill. It might be a small
horn configuration made by several pieces of wood.

Below from Olson Acoustical Engineering.

Also curious if this set appeared in a movie.

I love this:

Which means this tube that has a cracked base and looks like damage where the base and glass meets, works perfect! New!

Greg.
oh... sfalco1957, there is no need to place the eBay link in URL brackets.
Just paste it into your message and it will truncate/shorten, as shown below.
Otherwise this page becomes too wide... :)

Hmm... With the link in URL brackets, the link opens in a new tab.
But the page does become too wide.
