Sure, we all know a 10S669 is a $60-80 radio in typical condition. But look at this one... https://offerup.com/item/detail/805709999/It looks brand new, and still has the original shipping box. Wow!

That is amazing!
Yeah, I can see it bringing $200, you don't see them this nice-original.

Downside is the crummy crumbling rubber wiring which it likely has as a result of age.

That's apparently in your backyard, so why haven't you snagged it yet? Nuke wrote: Downside is the crummy crumbling rubber wiring which it likely has as a result of age. If it's wired anything like my 8S-463, only some of the wiring has rubber insulation, which would be easy to re-sleeve.

fifties wrote: That's apparently in your backyard, so why haven't you snagged it yet? Short answer: 1250 s.f. house including the garage, 35 consoles, and 200 other radios. Long answer: I had a 10S669 in my house for about 3 days, waiting for pickup by a friend. It's a big radio; it had a tendency to dwarf a couple radios whose presence I didn't want diminished by a radio with a heavy plastic escutcheon. Let's call that, "stylistic differences."

I guess I have a soft spot for the 1942 Zeniths. Probably as my first one was an 8-S-661. My favorite as far as looks being the 12-H-689 -Steve

Guess it is in the wrong place at the wrong time? I could see that drawing a crowd of buyers rather quickly if both were right.
